miRNA-SOM (CE) is a test of pre-miRNA prediction in C. elegans. Structural features have been extracted from sequences of the C. elegans genome, including positive examples up to miRBase v17, and have been used to train a novel architecture of self-organizing maps. The trained model is tested regarding the prediction of the pre-miRNAs of C.elegans added in miRBase v19 and v21.
